MHS student council organized a carnival and trick-or-treating event at the school on Tuesday, October 18. The carnival was held in the commons from 6:00P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Everyone was welcome to come but it was geared more towards younger students at Monroe Public Schools.
“It’s a great event to introduce younger students to the High School in a way that makes it more fun for them,” said Sarah LaBeau, student council member.
There was a $7 entry fee that included trick-or-treating, hot dogs, chips, donuts and cider. Apple Charlie’s graciously donated the donuts and cider for the carnival.
There were moon bounces and many various games set up for the kids to play, including face painting, arts and crafts, pictures and fortune telling. Many high school students that are involved in clubs or student organizations assisted in the carnival and were assigned specific activities to chaperone.
