Art Club 2023

Art Club is held at MHS every Thursday from 2:15 until 3:30 in room A-112. Its advisor is Ms. McBroom. It is a club meant to hang out with friends and express your creativity whether it be through sketching, painting, sculpting, digital art, crochet, or doing other fun activities.

“Art club is a great way to meet other students who love creating art. All students are welcome to our meetings, even if they can’t come all the time.” Ms. McBroom states.

At the moment, Art Club is working hard on painting a giant mural that will be completed by next school year to replace one of the outdated stairway murals.

“We try to bring people’s spirits up in the wintertime by decorating our whole hallway. We’ve created some of the murals around the building, including the Trojan Lisa (in the commons) and the memorial in the weight room.” Ms. Mcbroom said.

Ms. McBroom also states: “We also have done work in the community which demonstrates our Trojan Pride, including a mural at the fire station and large paintings on display at the BP refinery in Oregon, Ohio.”

Our goal is to be friendly and inclusive to everyone in the school and paint murals to put smiles on the faces of the generations to come.
