1. Alaska
2. Orlando
3. Cancun
Hearing lots of great reviews about all those hot spring vacation spots? Well, maybe that great spot is really not that great at all. That hot spot that you’ve been dreaming about going to isn’t only your dream; it’s millions of other students’ dreams also.
Isn’t Spring Break about getting out of your hometown and into the baking sun? Even if you’re not a fan of all those rays and the darkening of your skin, you shouldn’t ditch town and park yourself in Alaska. With an average of 45 degrees Fahrenheit in Anchorage in the month of April (Alaska.com), who wants to get away to the snow after spending a whole winter in it? Not only is it cold, but its wet! Who wants to slug around in lined rain boots when you could be wearing flip-flops while lounging poolside?
Onto Florida’s famous hot spot: Orlando! This may seem like the ideal place to hit for that week-long vacation, but have you ever really looked into it? Lounging on the beach with friends could include an up-close and personal view of Florida’s finest seniors (and I don’t mean the seniors below the age of 65). Florida is the number one choice for retirees (beginnersguide.com).
Another big shocker is Cancun. If you don’t pick the right spot to go, or really research your destination, you could find yourself having bought the same package deal as hundreds of thousands of others, all taking a break on the same beach. Cancun is amongst the top hotspots, fighting for that number one spot on the most-traveled-to for Spring Break (TripAdvisor.com, a media group operated by Trip Advisor LLC, which is the world‘s largest traveling site). You think your hallways are crowded, just wait until you’re hip-high in water and lodged between strangers!
