Fun and excitement hit the halls at MHS today as the second annual Trojan Pride Day took over the school.

The day started with a senior breakfast, senior activities and community building for underclassmen.

As the day went on, competition grew between wings. Students tried to enter opposing wings, but were corralled back home by administration and staff.

Each wing decorated the walls and doors, played games and shared food. Before the assembly, Principal Sandy Kreps made an announcement to clean the halls, which was, for the most part, followed.

The last and loudest activity on the schedule – the school assembly – ended the day, with wings competing for the championship. Each wing (A wing/blue, B wing/purple, C wing/red, DGHI wings/white) participated in tug of war, “Ultimate Rock, Paper, Scissors,” human knot, spirit cheer and a fight song competition.

The winners of the competition will be announced in school tomorrow.
