Terrorist groups attack around the world

All over the world, terrorist attacks occur every day and many people are killed and injured. This is an ongoing issue and continues to happen.

On Jan. 1, three Iraqi soldiers were killed and 17 were wounded when ISIS militants attacked an Iraqi army base near Ramadi. ISIS militants were driving 10 vehicles packed with explosives. Although Iraqi forces have managed to drive ISIS out of the center of Ramadi, ISIS still controls 25 percent of Ramadi (cnn.com).

In Pakistan, a blast at a bus stop killed 23 people and injured over a dozen people on Dec. 13, 2015. A Sunni militant group claimed responsibility for the explosion. The attack is said to be a revenge for the acts against Sunni Muslims that were on behalf of Iran and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad (cnn.com).

A local official said the explosion hit the bus stop at a busy market in Parachinar, Kurram Agency and that they are still investigating the attack.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for a terrorist attack that killed six police officers. The police officers were killed in a car bomb explosion near the Spanish Embassy in Afghanistan on Dec. 11, 2015. Gunfire rang out after the attack but the Afghanistan government announced that the siege has ended. All attackers involved have been killed by Afghan Special Forces.

According to Foxnews.com, a clinic run by Doctors Without Borders in Yemen was bombed on Dec. 2, 2015 in Yemen. It was bombed by Syria-led attacks. Seven people were wounded. A medical team is collecting information and treating the wounded.

On Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, a team of terrorists associated with the terrorist group, ISIS planned six attacks throughout Paris late at night. The locations included a concert hall, the State de France and at least two restaurants (cnn.com).

129 people were killed and 352 people wounded in these attacks. Seven terrorist were killed during the attacks. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attacks. The hunt for everyone involved is still underway. Only two of the ISIS members have been identified.
