Freshman tackled their first homecoming a few weeks ago and now everyone is remembering it as an amazing first experience.

Freshman, Claire Dushane came from a private school so her first homecoming experience was very different. “I came from a private school where we couldn’t touch each other without getting yelled at and that’s what I was taught,” Dushane said.

First homecoming is supposed to be very memorable and for freshman, “All of it was pretty memorable,” Dushane said. Newcomers to the high school usually have an expectation of what their first high school dance will be like. ”I believe that it was one of a kind and that everything happens for a reason,” Dushane said.

Having an amazing time and even more amazing memories is what every freshman wants for his or her first homecoming to be like. Freshman Olivia Kruger’s favorite memory was getting ready for the dance.

“My favorite memory was getting ready before hand,” Kruger said.

Freshmen usually have one word to describe their first high school dance. “One word to describe my first homecoming is “spectacular” because I love getting ready, hanging out with friends, dancing and being able to get all fancy,” Kruger said.

Dancing is a big part of homecoming and for freshman Breanna Nash it was one of her favorite memories.

“My first homecoming experience was fun because I had a lot of fun dancing with my friends,” Nash said.

There’s always a difference between expectations vs. reality for homecoming but for Nash it was exactly what she expected.

“Homecoming was what I expected it to be,” Nash said.
