“Insurgent” has splashed into theaters and hasn’t stopped the fangirls from screaming and waiting in line. “Insurgent” was released on March 19 at midnight. The story followed Tris Prior and Four Eaton in their escape for the Erudite ruler Jeanine Matthews. The story picked up right where “Divergent” left off. The movie followed closely with the book and only added in a few extra things that you could barely notice.
This action-packed flick goes deep in to the story of the faction system. We saw more of the landscape of this dystopian Chicago and how beautifully destroyed it really is. The movie set was set up in such a beautiful manner that it truly showed how they went through a war to get to the point they are at.
Tris battles her own demons in this fantastic book-to-movie representation. She fights with the idea that she is truly the one who can keep her loved ones safe and secure, if she does. She doesn’t want to leave Four and go fight by herself to open a box that will unlock the secret Jeanine has been hiding.
The movie was a big hit days after being released. The book obviously was better than movie, but this movie rocked. The plot line was magnificent and the characters stayed true to their personalities.
This movie will defiantly go down in history for being one of the few movies that originated from a book that was just as wonderful and flawless as the book itself.

Over the weekend the book adapted film, “Insurgent,” premiered all over the world. Insurgent” is the sequel to “Divergent” which premiered last March. Before the story made it to the big screen, it was just a book trilogy. The author is Veronica Roth and her brilliant vision made the trilogy one of the best trilogies out there.
The first movie was a box office hit and stuck to the book, which is every reader’s wish when their favorite book is put on the big screen. “Insurgent,” however, did not follow the most crucial rule to book-adapted films and that is sticking to the book.
The movie skipped scenes, forgot characters, and created new storylines. This doesn’t stay true to the amazing work Roth created. It upsets fans all over the world and ruins the whole series.
In the movie, everyone is trying to figure out what is in the mysterious box and the only way to open it is to have a Divergent open it. Tris Prior, a Divergent, is the only one who can open the box and the main antagonist, Jeanine, tries to find Tris throughout most of the movie.
Fans of the series probably were all thinking, “What is in the box?” and “Was the box even in the second book?” The box was not in the book at all and completely changes the storyline. The movies also excludes major characters like Cara, Susan, Zeke, and Shauna.
I really wanted to love the movie, but I just couldn’t because of how different it was from the book. I was disappointed and surprised about how much different it was. The difference in the movie sets up the next movies in the series to be completely different from the books, which if you have read the books, then you may not be happy about it.
