So music is, like, my life. I usually always have a song playing in my head. One of my favorite past times is going on YouTube and finding new bands to feed my music need. As a result, I’ve discovered bands not heard of by friends or family, so I’ve decided to share them with you.
This first band just came to me one day—literally. I got on MySpace, like, a year ago and had a friend request from the band Almost Hero. It asked me to listen to the group’s stuff—which I did and I absolutely loved every second of it. The band is just four guys from California singing without the studio messing with their voices or changing up their songs. Their music isn’t your average—they have an acoustic guitarist, a piano player, a drummer, and soft songs that can brighten up any day.

Now, who remembers Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide? Well, the kid that plays Ned sings. And he’s good. His name’s Devon Werkheiser, if you can’t recall. He and his guitar bring listeners’ ears sweet songs that make you swoon for the ex-Nickelodeon star. In my opinion, his voice doesn’t match him. The first time I heard him sing, I had to take a double-take, but he’s still absolutely amazing.

The last band I’m going to tell you about is Flight 409. Unlike the other two groups, these guys are more of a rock group, not so much a “let’s play some acoustic guitar in all of our songs” kind of band. And I like its sound. My favorite song is “Operator,” and I always have it stuck in my head. If you like bands such as Mayday Parade or All Time Low, I’m sure these guys will be of interest to you.

Well, I hope I gave you some new music to listen to. I definitely recommend listening to this stuff, but if it doesn’t strike your interest, who am I to say anything?
