MHS hired Blaine Whitlow as the new freshman boys basketball coach for the 2014-15 school year. He was the assistant coach in 2012 and has coached younger kids for about four years.
Tryouts began this Monday and wrap up today, Nov. 19 in the gym. Whitlow said he expects 13-14 players this year on his roster, which he will announce this week.
Whitlow said he is looking forward to the season.
“We should have a good team (this year),” said Whitlow.
Whitlow attended Monroe Community College for three years and studied community science.
