The Monroe High Interact Club will be collecting toiletries during all TFT classes. The fundraiser is called The Blessing Bag. All of the items will go to people on food stamps. The items Interact is asking for are things that food stamps won’t cover. The fundraiser will run from now until Nov. 10. You can bring your items to your TFT class any day of the week.
Senior Interact President Abbey Kootsillas said she is very excited about the fundraiser.
“I feel like if people actually participate then it could actually make a difference,” said Kootsillas.
The fundraiser is a competition between our school and St. Mary’s Catholic Central. It is also a competition between all the TFT classes.
Sue Jones, the staff advisor of Interact, said, “The winners will get to have a pizza party or something.”
The Blessing Bags will go to people in need. You can go to Mind Body Balance on Nov. 15 from 9 a.m.-noon for a “Team Stuffing.” Volunteers are going to sort all donations and put them in bags to give to those in need. Interact members are planning on helping in any way they can.
“The Blessing Bags are going to help everyone,” said senior Interact member Cody Harton.
