Fashion for homecoming changes every year, mostly for girls. One year strapless dresses could be in and the next poufy. It could be tight-fitting, long, short, long sleeves, short sleeves, or one sleeve…even the colors change.
Bright neon colors were in during the 80s but now not as many people wear bright colors. What’s in is always different every year.
This year and the past few, short dresses have been more in style.
Marissa Drew, a freshman at Monroe Middle College who is attending MHS homecoming, said her favorite type of dress is short poufy dresses with no sleeves.
“I’m wearing a strapless gold dress with sequins along the top half and it’s down to my knees,” she said.
Freshman Caylie Dykes also said her favorite type of dress is a short strapless dresses.
“I’m wearing a long white dress with gold sparkles and from the knees down its white lace,” she said.
It seems like more people prefer to wear short dresses for dances with all of the postings on Instagram and Facebook. Formal dress trends are hard to find because everyone wants to be unique and special for dances. Just be yourself with dressing up for this homecoming and your day is sure to be good that night.
