It’s no wonder senior Alexis Goff was nominated for this year’s homecoming court. Her spunky personality and large group of friends may be a reflection of how very social she is.
Goff is a part of varsity sideline cheer, NHS, S-Club and Pep club. She said she most enjoys cheering and seeing all of the people from Monroe at the game, where king and queen will also be crowned.
Goff plans on attending the dance with a group of friends, taking pictures before and hanging out after. The dance will be this Saturday, the day after the game.
Goff said that she is most excited for the skit, which she will be doing with another candidate, senior Jeff Copi.
“We’ve been friends for a long time, and our skit is secret, but fun,” she said.
Homecoming week has a few different activities. One of them is where every day of the week, students and teachers dress a certain way. Wednesday is Dress Like Your Favorite Sports Team Day. Goff said her choice would be Michigan State University.
“My brother goes to school there, and I’ve been to a lot of their games,” she said.
After a week filled with activities, the candidates will all be sure to make this year’s homecoming a memorable one, win or not.
