Over the summer, Monroe High completely re-did its schools parking lot. The lot features at least 40 new parking spots for students to park student and visitor vehicles.
Drivers also now park in vertical rows with cars facing each other rather than all of the cars facing the school. According to Assistant Principal William Ferrara in the opening senior meeting, the change will add many additional spots to the lot.
Most students aren’t used to the new changes of the parking lot, and there have been backed up cars in the morning while getting into the school. However, as students get used to the new lot, the time it takes to get into the gate takes less and less each day.
