As the year rockets off to an end, seniors celebrate the festivity of recognition from teachers and staff. On May 15 at 7 p.m., students were invited to attend the event of Senior Awards located in the auditorium. Student and family pride shone everywhere that night as many were recognized for high achievement and outstanding performances throughout their years at MHS.
Four years can be blissful and memorable but also filled with sweat and hard work. Because of such achievement, these awards are merely there to represent the memorable hard work students have completed. Summa’s and Senior Scholars played a large role throughout the ceremony with much respect from teachers and parents.
“I feel proud I achieved what I did,” said senior Alyssa Cotterman.
Parents and guardians of the awarded students were invited to attend the ceremony with cookies and punch as refreshments. Thanks to Sodexo, MHS were able to continue their years of tradition at the senior awards with enjoyment.
With each significant event held, comes more hard work from teachers and staff members. It is imperative to stay thankful for the effort put in to allow a successful ceremony.
“I love the seniors honor night. The uniqueness of the awards presented is tremendous,” said Assistant Super Intendant Ryan McCleod.
