Freshman Fred Shipp is not only an outgoing individual; he is also ambitious, active, and all-around a fun person to be around.
Shipp plays basketball for MHS; he made the JV team as a freshman. He foresees himself having a good future.
“I don’t know what I want to do yet, but I’m going got be in the NBA,” said Shipp.
One person he looks up to is NBA player Lebron James.
“He is the best NBA player,” said Shipp.
Not only is he a fun time now, but when he was a child, he was the neighborhood rebel.
“When I was little, I stole a Gameboy and replaced it with mine because the other one was better,” said Shipp.
Everyone has one of those moments that no one forgets: being embarrassed in front of everyone is something that either brings color to your face or drains it.
“My most embarrassing moment was when I got pantsed in front of everyone,” said Shipp. “It was bad.”
Shipp likes to rap, dance, and even created a rap of his own. His favorite music is rap and gospel. He has even created a YouTube channel so everyone can see him the way he really is. Scooterandlilfred is his username.
“I’m real, not fake,” said Shipp. “I’m not a comedian; I speak the truth.”
Shipp lives with his grandfather and they take care of each other.
“I take care of him and he takes care of me,” said Shipp.
Shipp enjoys being on court because he likes the attention, the thrill, and just loves the excitement.
