Sophomore Winterfest candidate Blake Cosby has a variety of interests and has set high goals for his future that don’t just include being on court.
Cosby’s favorite part of being on Winterfest court is the court assembly, where he was part of a Mean Girls’ dance of Jingle Bell Rock.
Cosby is not in any clubs at MHS, although he is interested in joining the Impact club. Cosby used to be a part of soccer until he messed up his knee and was no longer able to play.
Aside from soccer, he enjoys playing video games and is in his words, a computer nerd.
Though Cosby is on the honor roll, his favorite part of school is it ending.
“2:11,” he said when asked what his favorite part of school is. “That’s about it.”
He also said that the thing he is looking forward to most in high school is graduating.
Cosby looks up to his grandma the most because she has been successful.
“I look up to her because she was born dirt poor and she built herself up,” he stated.
When asked what famous person he admires the most, he said he had none because he was a “go-with-the-flow” kind of guy.
Some of his favorite memories are his eighth grade trip to Washington DC and going to Disney World as a child.
Cosby also said that his most embarrassing moment in high school was when he fell down the stairs and flipped over.
Cosby would like to go to Michigan State University in the future because his family went there, and he wants to continue that tradition. He wants to go into something in the business field though he isn’t sure what.
