Junior Princess candidate Jessica Morr is not a stranger to the rush of playing sports. As a varsity player on Monroe High girls’ soccer team since her freshman year, she has always been a part of the athletic crowd, and it has always been something she’s loved.
Having played the sport since she was young, Morr has found it to be something she enjoys. She said that it’s not always easy, and it brings up some difficulty. Along with this, though, she said comes the good times that wouldn’t be possible without her teammates.
“I love playing soccer because it challenges your mind while being skilled and physical. Plus, there’s all of the amazing soccer girls,” Morr said.
In addition to playing soccer for both the school’s varsity team and travel-team called “Rush,” Morr is also a member of Monroe High’s Generations of Sound, which she enjoys being a part of very much.
“What I love about Generations of Sound is I can be my total self and everyone treats you like family,” stated Morr.
Other than soccer and Generations, Morr finds interest in drawing, singing, acting, hanging out with friends, and photography, which she has hopes of pursuing in the future.
When she heard that she was on court, Morr was pleased. As Winterfest week goes on, Morr is most excited to dance at the court assembly with Amy Smith, her best friend that also made junior Princess court this year.
