Every television channel has its big shows that rake in a ton of views every weekday when its episodes air. For Fox, there’s Glee and House; for the CW, One Tree Hill and Vampire Diaries.; and for ABC Family, Pretty Little Liars has now become one of the big shows.
In the summer, Liars graced our lives, letting us into the twisted little world of Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Emily. Recently, their friend Allison went missing on a night she was supposed to be with the four of them. Soon after, Allison came up dead.
The show begins a year later, when the four girls begin to reunite after they’ve drifted apart over Ali’s death. What really brings them together, though, are the mysterious messages from “A,” The girls’ first thought is that it’s Allison, because “A” starts to reveal secrets only Allison knew. But she’s dead, so how is it even possible?
As the girls try to figure out who “A” is, they deal with normal teenager struggles: parental separations, love lives, haunting pasts – the works. Things have changed for them all, and of course, it’s not easy with “A” breathing own their necks. We are always left sitting on the edges of our seats, waiting for more. The “finale” personally killed me. There was a possibility Hanna knew who “A” was. But at the end, it looked like she was forever “silenced.”
Season one continued months later with a sigh of relief, for Hanna was indeed alive, but it looked like her guess of who A was, was actually wrong.
The 2011 premier resolves past problems, and also brings up conflicts, new and old. The rest of the season should be a heavy one, so you Liar fans need to be prepared.
