Senior Alec Stewart has kept himself busy throughout his high school journey, involving himself in Student Council, PPI (positive peer influence) and being a part of the Trojan football team. So it comes as no surprise that Stewart now adds Homecoming court candidate to his list of activities.
“I’ve definitely enjoyed being a part of student council. Mrs. Knabusch is a really cool person and she makes it a lot of fun. I like that we get to work with Mrs. Roahed’s special education class,” said Stewart. “They’re so awesome and so many people overlook them.”
Although student council has been a big impact on Stewart’s high school experience, he said nothing compares to being a part of the MHS Trojan football team.
“The thing I’m going to miss most about high school is definitely being a part of the football team. We aren’t just teammates; those boys are my brothers,” said Stewart.
If he’s not on the field, he’s in the gym working on his tumbling. Stewart is a member at a gym called Free Running Academy, which is located in Livonia.
“I love to flip, I’ll never forget that time I flipped over Kenny Sloss for my Winterfest skit,” said Stewart.
Stewart is looking into schools such as the University of Toledo, Spring Arbor University and Cornerstone University. He plans on going to school to become a psychiatrist.
“I think being a psychiatrist would be cool. People’s minds intrigue me,” said Stewart. “I also like to help people and I’m very social. I’ve always thought of myself as someone people can come to with a problem.”
