The well-known Jeromy Scott isn’t the average 17-year-old high school senior. He’s that guy that everyone knows for having his own style and not caring what other people think about him. This may be what got him nominated for this year’s Homecoming court.
Scott has a day of “dress to impress”, which just so happens to be every day of the week for him.
“I don’t believe in wearing sweatpants,” said Scott. “I don’t even think I own a pair.”
Scott has his own watch collection, that way he can match his watches with his clothes, too. He claims to be obsessed with being a color-coordinated person.
“I always match my underwear with my socks; I try to match my tie with them too, but it doesn’t always work out that way,” said Scott.
Along with always being classy, Scott is also athletic. He runs track, and likes to make it known that he’s the only African American swimmer on the MHS swim team.
He works two jobs and still gets good grades. He works at the Phoenix theatres in the Mall of Monroe, where he is soon to be a manager. He also works at the clothing store called Express.
“I love Express, I even have a tattoo of their logo on my arm,” said Scott.
Scott is also involved in some school clubs, like DECA and BPA. With his good grades and high ACT scores, he hopes to be accepted into the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he plans to go into Business Marketing.
