The strategically designed posters. The always interesting court assembly. the anticipation during the almost-too-long first half of the Homecoming game. All of this leads up to one nerve-wracking moment: the crowning of Monroe High School’s Homecoming king and queen. This will be a moment senior queen candidate Kylee Bezeau will remember for the rest of her life.
Being on the Homecoming court can stir a lot of emotions in the candidates. It is a stressful yet empowering position to be in. It comes with a lot of perks and it could be an overall fun experience for each and every candidate that they will never forget.
“I’m really excited to be on court,” said Bezeau. Bezeau also stated that she’s excited for the crowing ceremony at the Homecoming game because she gets to wear her pink dress.
But the Homecoming court isn’t the only court that Bezeau has been on in her life; she’s very familiar with the ones of the tennis variety. Since age seven, she has played the sport, and it has since become one of her favorite things to do in her spare time. It is by far one of her favorite sports, and she said she enjoys it very much.
With this being her senior year, Bezeau said she’s excited for many things involving the school year and even the future itself. Besides being on Homecoming Court, Bezeau is looking forward to senior prom. After graduation she plans to go into engineering and has dreams of living in a beach house one day in the future.
