Senior Hannah Goins was in complete surprise when she heard her name announced as a Winterfest candidate this month. Goins is involved with indoor and outdoor soccer during the winter and spring seasons. Aside from her dedication to sports, Goins also keeps up on her grades, making her a part of NHS.
With this year being her senior year, she is planning out the future she wants to lead. Goins is undecided on a college, but she wants to major in History and after completing college, she hopes to work for a cosmetology license.
“I will be getting my cosmetology license because it has always been my dream job,” explained Goins. “After all of that, I would like to get married and start my own family.”
With even a lot of goals on her plate, Goins looks forward to the future and hopes one day to travel the world.
With the ambition Goins displays she often looks to her family for support.
“My family is the most important and the biggest influence in my life,” she said. “We have been through many hardships together and even when I felt like giving up, I could always look to my family.”
If Goins isn’t on the soccer field or with her family, you can probably spot her working hard around the school. She is an active member in student council. Whether it is helping out with the dances or planning important school events, Goins works her hardest every day.
With a busy schedule and a good head on her shoulders, Goins always has a hand to lend. Many people can count on her as being a genuine friend along with being an outstanding classmate and teammate.
